This homemade Strawberry Lemonade is super easy to make and it’s perfect for backyard barbecues, holidays, birthday parties and more.
Most lemonades are made with refined white sugar or corn syrup, which can cause inflammation and blood sugar spikes, but this Strawberry Lemonade recipe uses honey which is considered to be a healthier all-natural sweetener option.
Strawberry Lemonade Recipe
We use my honey lemonade as a base for this recipe, then we add strawberry puree to the mix.
- Lemons. Juice enough lemons so you have 1-1/2 cups lemon juice. Strain lemon juice through fine mesh into the glass pitcher with honey syrup.
- Honey. We use honey for this recipe rather than pure cane sugar. The health benefits of honey can be lost when honey is heated, so we don’t heat the honey to make this recipe, instead we blend or stir the honey with water which dissolves the honey just fine.
- Water. Dilute with as much or as little water as you like for your desired level of sweetness and tartness.
- Strawberries. We use about 1 cup (about 1/2 a pound) of organic juicy ripe strawberries for this recipe.

How To Make Strawberry Lemonade
This recipe for Strawberry Lemonade couldn’t be easier to make! We use just 4 ingredients and it comes together in about 10 minutes start to finish!
- Puree Strawberries. Toss the strawberries (stems removed) into a blender and puree. Strain through a fine mesh strainer, pressing the puree with a silicon spatula to push the puree through the strainer.
- Make honey syrup. Blend 2 cups room temperature water with 1-1/2 cup honey in a blender until honey is dissolved and pour into a glass pitcher. If you don’t strain the strawberry puree first, then you can add it to the blender with the honey and water at this point.
- Juicing Lemons. Juice enough lemons so you have 1-1/2 cups lemon juice. Strain lemon juice through fine mesh into the glass pitcher with honey syrup.
- Add Water. Dilute mixture with as much or as little water as you like for your desired level of sweetness and tartness.
- Stir. Stir the mixture together in a pitcher using a wooden spoon. Chill before serving and serve over ice.
How To Store It
Store Strawberry Lemonade in a tall pitcher or sealed mason jars in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can also pour into ice cube trays to make flavored ice cubes to add to water or iced tea like I’ve done with these Arnold Palmer (Sweet Tea) Ice Cubes. Or you can pour into popsicle molds to make Strawberry Popsicles.
