This is a quick and easy apple cider recipe that uses just 5 ingredients!  

  • Apple Juice. We use fresh apple juice for this hot spiced apple cider, which you can purchase at your local market or health food store, or juice your own using an assortment of apples such as Gala, Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, etc.
  • Spices. We use a mix of cloves and cinnamon to give a warm flavor to this cider.
  • Oranges. Fresh oranges give a nice citrus flavor to the drink.
  • Ginger. We use fresh ginger which give a bit of spice to the mix.

How To Make Apple Cider

This mulled apple cider recipe takes about 15-20 minutes start to finish, unless you’re juicing your own apples.

  1. Combine the ingredients in a large saucepan and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Strain and serve with a quarter slice of the orange and a cinnamon stick.

  • 8 whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 orange, sliced and quartered (yes keep the outer peel on the slices)
  • 1-inch fresh ginger, peeled and cut into 6 slices
