This Cilantro Ranch Dressing comes together in about 5 minutes start-to-finish. But you’ll want to refrigerate it for up to an hour (longer even better) to allow the flavors to really blend together before serving.

Cilantro Ranch Salad Dressing Recipe

This easy recipe is a delicious blend of classic ranch flavors mixed with cilantro and lime. If you love traditional ranch dressing, you’ll love the flavor of this Cilantro Lime Ranch Dressing.

  • Mayonnaise. We use a good real mayonnaise like Best Foods (Hellman’s).
  • Seasoning.  We add fresh garlic, green onion and cilantro together with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and freshly cracked black pepper to season this dressing with. 
  • Lime Juice. Just a little lime juice adds a pop of flavor to this dressing.
  • Buttermilk. This adds flavor and thins the dressing out.  Add more buttermilk if you like a thinner consistency.

Variations

  • Add fresh or pickled jalapeno if you want to add a little spice to the dressing.
  • Toss in more garlic and green onion for a more robust flavored dressing.

How To Make Cilantro Ranch Dressing

  1. Blend ingredients. Chop the green onion, cilantro and garlic then add them to the blender with the mayonnaise, onion powder, garlic powder and buttermilk. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Chill. Refrigerate the dressing in an airtight container up to an hour before serving so the flavors have a chance to meld together.

How Long Will It Last?

Store this dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If properly stored, it should last up to 5 days. Stir dressing before each serving.
